The Red Fort


The Red Fort was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.It was built by the Mughal emperor  Shah Jahan in the walled city of Old Delhi. The fort lies along the Yamuna River with wall at its north-eastern corner. The construction of the Red Fort began in 1638 and was completed by 1648.Built entirely with Red stones it now hosts the Independence Day celebrations of India.

Humayun's tomb


Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun and was built by his wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 AD. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent the tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, and since then has undergone extensive restoration work

The India Gate


The India Gate is the national monument of India. Situated in the heart of New Delhi, it was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Jama Masjid of Delhi


Jama Masjid of Delhi also known as the Jama Masjid is the chief mosque in India and was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is the largest and best-known mosque in India and lies near Chawri Bazar Road, the central street of Old Delhi. The later name, Jama Masjid, refers to the weekly Friday noon congregation prayers, which are usually done in a mosque, the "congregational mosque" or "jama' masjid".
